This year saw yet again a highly competitive Championship.

Held over several weeks, £100 was raised for Myton Hospice.
Katy presented both trophies to the well deserving winners.
Mel Simmons receives the trophy as Dart Champion 2011.
Bill Pound receives the Dominoes Championship trophy.
Well done, and a big ‘thank you’ to all competitors for raising money for such a good cause.

The Somerville Arms has won a top accolade, with all thanks to CAMRA and its members.
Paul and Kay are delighted with this prestigious award and Paul said:
“It came as quite a shock! The pub means a lot to me and I am very passionate about it, so it’s fantastic that it has been recognised as the best in the region.”
“We have very loyal customers and it is all thanks to them that the Somerville Arms is so thriving. They even stuck by us whilst the refurbishment was taking place and we were trading from the back room – that meant a lot to us!”
The pub will now go through to the CAMRA County round ‘Pub of the Year’ competition later in the year.

For the second year running, The Somerville Arms has won the prestigious
‘Spencer Memorial Garden Competition’ 2011, for its hanging baskets and Courtyard.
This follows yet another
‘Gold’ for the ‘Leamington in Bloom’ Competition, 2011.
The hanging baskets have been absolutely magnificent this year and the Courtyard has also been a beautiful hidden haven.
With all thanks to Linda Pound for her assistance and to all our Customers for their appreciation - it makes it all worthwhile.
